The collective exhibition Downtown Chiado 26, presented at Atelier Natália Gromicho ( @ateliernataliagromicho ), brought together 32 national and international artists in a dense and plural encounter of contemporary visual practices in the historic centre of Lisbon.
Over two weeks, the space operated as a platform for dialogue between painting, sculpture, drawing and urban-rooted approaches, reflecting the vitality of today’s artistic landscape and Chiado’s enduring role as a cultural crossroads.

Participating artists included Adélia Clavien, Ana Malta, Aranka Székely, Beatriz Canivete, Carsten Bund, Daphne, Daniela Guerreiro, Endre Bartos, Gabriela Sosa, Gill Welland, Howard Harris, Inês Prats, Joaquim Gromicho, Kayo Sato, Leonor Ribeiro, Liliana Silva, Luisa Petiz, Mafalda Gonçalves, Maria Isabel de Lince, Mariana Santos, Metka Vergnion, Natália Gromicho, Noelle Kalom, Patrícia Mariano, Pedro Charters d’Azevedo, Rui Pereira, Santerre, Šárka Darton, Stanislav Riha, Tamara Alves, Tommi Viitala and Vasco Maio.

More than a simple grouping of works, the exhibition formed a collective snapshot of the present, multiple voices coexisting, overlapping and diverging within a shared spatial and conceptual frame. Downtown Chiado 26 was on view from February 7 to February 20, 2026, marking a concentrated moment of artistic convergence in the heart of Chiado’s creative district.
